Congratulations to the NWN Shamrocks on a great year.  Unfortunately, the team fell one win short of a great season by losing in the State Championship Finals on March 5th to a strong FC Royals team.  The "Rocks" went down early on a well executed corner kick in under 5 minutes.

 

By halftime the score was 0-2.  The normally potent Rocks offensive attack mounted few quality chances on the Royals goal.  A solid defensive scheme by the Royals frustrated the Rocks forwards and MF's all game long.

 

Congratulations again to Mark Metzger & Eugene Poublon in guiding this team to the state finals and good luck to all the NWN Shamrock players who will be competing as collegiate student athletes next fall.
