SoutheastSchulz Academy teams started strong in the 2006 season vs. Ajax Orlando. The U13 team won 4-2 picking up two goals from Sekani Sinclair. Mauro Bondi and Conner Rezende scored the other two.
“I was very impressed with our first 20 minutes,” said head coach Dr. Josef Schulz. “We were leading 4-0 but Ajax showed tremendous heart and pulled back 2 goals.
Hasani Sinclair scored twice, and Francisco Pelicon the other in an impressive 3-0 victory of the Schulz Academy in the U15 division.
In a hard fought U16 game, the defending North American Champion from last year, Schulz Academy, had a tough time finding the back of the net. Ajax Orlando proofed to be a very strong defensive unit and despite some great scoring opportunities for the Schulz Academy team, at the end both coaches were happy with the draw.
“It was one of these games where you also could have lost with a counter attack goal, although dominating a big part of the game,” said Schulz Academy Manager Heinz Olischar. “We are still confident that we will end up on top of our group, being aware though, that every single point now counts.”

Andre Mittoo, Nathaniel Jocelyn, Gabriel Hoyos, and Juan Rivera scored the goals in the convincing 4-0 victory of the Schulz Academy vs. Ajax Orlando in the U17 division.
“It was a very good start for our team in the new season,” said U17 Coach Tony March. “This victory gives us a lot of confidence for the next games, and showed that we are ready.”
“We knew the first game in each age group was important, and we achieved what we were hoping for” said Schulz Academy President Marcello Serrato.
The next games of the Schulz Academy are on May 21 vs. Weston at Vista Park.

Mid Atlantic
The mighty Mid Atlantic Division fielded only two games this weekend as the Baltimore Bays’ took two games from Pennsylvania powerhouse Super Nova FC. Baltimore won the U14 boy’s match 3-1 before scoring a close 3-2 win in the U15 boy’s division.
”I thought my team played quite well,” said Baltimore U15 coach Matt Dwyer. “We applied quite a lot of pressure in the second half and were able to come away with a win. Super Nova got quite a bit better from last season and gave us a match. In the U14 game Super Nova was up 1-0 at half time before our side created some good chances in the second half and just pulled away.”
“I’m looking forward to facing the City Islanders Academy this weekend,” said Dwyer. “We finished 1 and 2 last season in our division last season. I would consider this match a bit of a rivalry game.”

“We’re a young club from Vermont and coming into the Super Y-League we were told to expect a lot of competition,” said U14 boys’ coach Mitch Lieberman. “The New England division is remarkably varied and I expect we’ll see several tough games throughout the season.”

On Sunday, Lieberman’s U14 boys’ played MPS Boston to a 1-1 draw at Weymouth High School in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
“In our 1-1 draw we saw some good, solid soccer,” said Lieberman. “It was a real nice venue.”
In preparation for the 2006 Super Y-League season Lieberman took his U14 squad to Cocoa, Florida, site of USL Premier Development League team the Cocoa Expos.
”It was a good, positive team experience for us,” said Lieberman. “We had two or three training sessions per day mixed with several friendlys. The facilities there are beautiful and it certainly strengthened us as a team going into the Super Y-League season.”
