The Northwest Nationals Nemesis Girls U15 was defeated Saturday March 17 by the very talented Crossfire Premier Hattrup ’91 team by a score of 1-0.  Both teams played a fast-paced, physical first half which ended with no goal being scored.  An excellent defensive effort by the Nationals stopped many threats from the Crossfire team; particularly, the goalkeeping play of the Nemesis netminder was spectacular, as she saved many Crossfire attempts. 

The second half saw the fired-up Crossfire team take up where it left off, time and again making excellent runs, only to be stopped by the stingy Nemesis defense.  Crossfire scored its only goal on a throw-in, a slow roller into the corner.  Both teams should be congratulated on a well played game and fine tournament.  Crossfire Hattrup will represent our state well at regionals this June in Las Vegas.  Congratulations Crossfire!
