They donated their morning to the 11th Annual Volunteer Parks Cleanup Day. They were part of a group of about 60 volunteers who turned out to help clean up the Ballinger Playfield Complex, also used by NWN as one of our many practice fields. They spent 5 hours removing noxious weeds and blackberries, as well as, scrubbing down the play area equipment.
Ken Courtmanch, Parks Services and Property Management Superintendent, Thanked us for “having the team out. They were very helpful.” He also extended the opportunity to coordinate other team builders, to set up another event with other teams or to have NWN join in the Fall Event on September 24th.
For more information on how your team can have a great day “giving back” please feel free to contact Ken Courtmanch at KCourtmanch@ci.mlt.wa.us.
