Matt Johnson of NWN 91 Red 2007-10 was named Co-Rookie of the Year for the Haverford Men’s Soccer Team. matt was selected for this award from a recruiting class of 13 freshman and was noted for his technical skills, which were largely acquired during his years at NWN under coaches Mark Collings, Mel Craig, and Eugene Poublon. He started all 16 games for Haverford and was named to the Jimmy Mills Tournament All Star Team. Haverford is the oldest collegiate soccer team in the country and plays in the tough Centennial Conference. Matt helped anchor a defense that took Haverford to its first winning season since 2000 and its most wins since 2003.
