Catalog & Directions Available; McCrath to Emcee Friday

The Northwest Nationals’ first Adult Auction is Friday night, November 14 (5:30 p.m.) at the Everett Events Center.

To help you prepare for this great occasion, download the Auction Item Catalog, and to help find  your way to the Everett Events Center, we also offer directions.

We have a surprise guest speaker joining us–US National Team and Professional Player Justi Baumgardt! For those who will miss the auction, we will have Justi back in March for our Award’s Banquet.

Legendary coach Cliff McCrath has agreed to serve as our host and master of ceremonies once again. Cliff is inspirational, comedic and will make it an entertaining evening to remember. Best of all, this auction provides the necessary financial support to our teams and players.

We open our doors at 5 pm on Auction Night.  We have over 180 donation items procured for our Auction, so you may want to download the catalog for a preview before arriving.

The following are a few checklist items for Friday.

Objective

The first year we funded 15 players, the second year 27 scholarships, the third year 42 scholarships and in our fourth year we helped over 50 players in our club.  It is our mission that all players who are selected for our teams will and can play!  We are passionate to get this fund to be of great value for our club for years to come.  Our total revenue last year after expenses came to: $42,780.50.  Our goal for the 2009 Auction is to surpass $60,000!

Background

Here’s a little background of why we started our Auction Banquet.  As NW Nationals is now highly recognized statewide, regionally and nationally, as one of the best premier soccer clubs, we wanted to have a recognition program for our players at the end of each season.  With all their hard work and dedication throughout the year, this is by far the least we can do for our players.

In recognition of them, we also wanted a yearly opportunity to have a large fundraiser for our existing teams.  There are many expenses that come up for teams during the year and this was one way to develop a benefit of revenue going towards this year to offset expenses.  With the revenue earned for the auction items donated, this is split 50/50 between teams and our NWN Scholarship Fund.

Co-Chairs:  Dina Johnson (onejfamily@comcast.net) , Cathy Jackson (nwnadmin@comcast.net) and Sylvia Young (scyoung@finsvcs.com).
